NZPA-Reuter Nairobi Two Canadian diplomats now in Kampala have been told by Ugandan Foreign Ministry officials that they do not know the whereabouts of the New Zealand-bom journalist, Mr Gerald Utting, who has not been heard of since he flew from Nairobi to Entebbe last month. The Canadians travelled to Kampala by road last week, to follow up telephone inquiries about Mr Utting, a journalist with the “Toronto Star.”
Mr Utting was advised by the Canadian High Commission not to try to enter Uganda without first getting permission. Colleagues said he had sent a request to; Uganda, but it had not been; granted.
