Olympic move by women
PA Wellington New Zealand women want to play hockey at the 1980 Olympics.
The 36 New Zealand women's hockey associations Fave voted for a team being (named to go to Moscow, (according to the New Zealand Women’s Hockey Association’s publicity officer, (Mrs O. F. Hely). The national association held a ballot on the issue when it was decided to include women’s hockey in the Moscow Olympics. Only six teams, including one from the U.S.S.R., will be invited to take part. New Zealand beat the present world champions, England, earlier this year.
