Firmer Aust. industrials
Industrial share prices firmed, while miners eased in light trading on Australian stock exchanges yesterday. B.H.P. closed 4c higher at 634 c, while A.C.I. eased 2c to 178 c and the Bank of New South Wales gained 2c to 526 c. ICI firmed 3c to 193 c after the announcement of a rights issue.
CSR gave up a further 5c to 330 c on further assessment of its annual report, and problems with the Japanese sugar contract.
