N.Z. company wins awards
James Hardie and Company Proprietary', Ltd, New Zealand, has received the "Branch of the Year” award from its Australian principals. The annual award was won for the first time by the New Zealand company for its ["excellent” performance in spite of a downturn in the building industry. The New Zealand manager (Mr D. Gemmell) received the award from the Australian chief general manager, operations (Mr D. Macfarlane), in Sydney last week.
Branches were assessed on all aspects of customer service and performance. The award was contested by branches in all states of Australia.
