Hydrcarbons in Kingfish 7
The Broken Hill Pty Company, Ltd, says that Esso Exploration and Production Australia, and Hematite Petroleum Pty, Ltd, report that the Kingfish 7 well is being cored at a depth of 2364 metres. Hydrocarbon shows were in cores cut within a sequence of interbedded sandstone and shale over the interval 2,296 metres to 2,331 metres. Coring was continued below the level of hydrocarbon shows to evalluate reservoir qualities. ' The significance of the I hydrocarbon shows will be I further evaluated by electric I logging, and wireline testing.
