Rubber men still out
The dispute at the Firestone Tire and Rubber Company plant over the merits lof the night shift cook is still simmering. Production stopped on Thursday afternoon when 250 rubber workers and 45 engineers walked off because the company would not include them in discussions with the cook over the company’s offer to employ him as day shift cooking supervisor. The secretary of the Hotel Workers’ Union (Mr C. McCready) said last evening’ that discussions took place’ yesterday and would con-’ tinue on Monday, when the’ workers are due to return to I work. '
