The new tabernacle in the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament, which will be dedicated by Archbishop Angelo Acerbi, Apostolic Pro-Nuncio to New Zealand, at a Choral Mass in the cathedral tomorrow. The bronze screen doors are the work of Ria Bancroft of Christchurch, and were cast by the Morris Singer Foundry, England. The sculptured reliefs express the acclamation “Christ has died; Christ is risen.” The administrator of the cathedral, the Very Rev. J. Harrington, is beside the tabernacle.
