H MAORI PAINTINGS GOTTFRIED LINDAUER This book is about a partnership between artist Gottfried Lindauer and patron Henry Edward Partridge which continued for over half a century and produced more than 100 paintings, including a collection which has become part of the heritage of the Maori race and of New Zealand - the Partridge Collection of Lindauer Maori paintings. The book reproduces 50 of the 70 pa.ntings in the Partridge Collection, in full colour, and records in faithful and picturesque detail many of the distinguished figures of a Maori era that is past.
