Senate gets spy report

The American Central Intelligence Agency has handed over to the Senate Intelligence Committee a full report on alleged C.I.A. activities in Australia, committee sources have said. The sources were unable to say whether the report confirmed widespread allegations that the United States’ [spy agency interfered in Australian politics, especially trade union activities. They said that the panel -would have to evaluate the -C.I.A. report before deciding whether to conduct a full investigation into the matter.
