Shield not at stake
PA Wellington Auckland will not be piaving for the Ranfurly Shield when it plays Manawatu in Palmerston North on July 16.
This is the reuslt of a decision reached at a meeting; of the appeals committee of' the New Zealand Rugbv Foot-, ball Union in Wellington ves-| terday. The committee, com- 1 prising Messrs T. C. Morri- 1 son (Chairman), C. K. Saxton and J. L. Sullivan met to con-1 sider an appeal by the Manawatu Rugbv Union against al decision reached by the council of the N.Z.R.F.U. at a meeting in April.
