D.F.C. to attend technology fair

The controller of the applied technology division of the Development Finance Corporation (Mr .1. Rowley) will attend the Inova Fair, in Paris next month as part of a visit to Europe to promote New Zealand technology.

The division administers Government incentives for industrial research and development and has the responsibility for marketing new technology developed by Government agencies and New Zealand universities. The Inova Fair is held biennially and provides a showplace for inventions and innovations and a. forum for the transfer of technology between nations. The theme of this year's fair is the conservation of energy, Mr Rowley will be looking for new developments in solar, geothermal, hydro-electric and wind-generated energy production which would have wide application in New Zealand. After the fair, he will hold

discussions with several French and British technical agencies and will visit major pharmaceutical companies with a view to licensing medical technology, including a diagnostic kitset. which has been developed at Massey University.
