‘Sportsnight’
O n "Sportsnight” tonight from TVI, John Neilson will introduce coverage of today’s Lions match against WanganuiKing Country. In 1966 Colin Meads led the combined side to a 126 victory, while the Lions won their match comfortably by 22 points to nine in 1971. Major interest in today’s game will centre on the play of Wanganui’s young centre, Bill Osborne, who could well win his way into the All Black test side if he repeats his trials performance.
