Essay winners announced
Amphibious Air Services, Ltd, of Christchurch have announced the winners of an essay contest, sponsored by the company. The contest, which drew more than 50 entries from young Christchurch essayists, was restricted to people who had never flown before.
The five winners in the contest will each be flown around Christchurch free of charge. The winners are.— under 15; Susan Haughey, aged 13, of 294 Estuary Road, Christchurch; under 13: Gareth Rouch, aged 12, of 43 Primrose Street, Christchurch; under 11: Douglas Marshall, aged 10, of 100 West Belt. Rangiora; under 9: Garrod Rhodes, aged 8, of 3 Coleman Avenue, Christchurch; under 7: Ruth North, aged 6, of 398 Pine Avenue, Christchurch.
