Club member honoured
The Canterbury Travel Club has made one of its members, Mrs E. Wells, an honorary life member in honour of her 30 years of service to the club. Mrs Wells worked with the “Food for Britain” committee until it disbanded, and was secretary, and later chairman, of the travel club’s entertainment committee. She became vice-president of the club in 1965, and in 1970 became president, a post she held until 1974.
