‘Sack judge' call
A group of 60 women in dress ranging from bikinis to heavy jackets demonstrated outside a Madison, Wisconsin, court, demanding the resignation of a judge who says rape by some teen-agers is a normal reaction to provocative clothing worn by
some women. Dane County Judge Archie Simonson said before sentencing a 15-year-old boy to a year at home for sexual assault on a 16-year-old high school girl: “In a town as sexually permissive as Madison, should we punish severely a 15 or 16-year-old who reacts to it normally?” — Madison.
