Epic fares allow big saving
The epic “advance-pur-chase” ticket is still the cheapest method of getting to Fiji.
From Christchurch the return fare is $323, but flights have to be booked and paid for 35 days in advance. Variations are not permitted, but special insurance can be purchased to cover a percentage of the fare if the trip has to be cancelled.
A standard economy return fare from Christchurch to Nandi costs $450, but if you really want to travel in style, pay another $144 and fly first-class.
Air New Zealand operates a DCB out of Christchurch to Fiji on Fridays.
