Queenspark School opened
■ The start of a new school term on Monday also saw the first pupils at the new Queenspark Primary' School in Queenspark Drive, Burwood.
The primer one to formi two school has eight permanent classrooms and a roll of 149. A building pro-! gramme allows for a further four permanent clrssrooms to copv with expected roll increases over the next two years. Classrooms are of an open plan design, so the number of children together at one time is flexible and can -range from large groups to I individuals. The developers of the Queenspark Drive area have ‘donated the cost of doubling •the library, which should be finished next week, so.it can •be used by the community. The school committee is working with the Waimairi County Council on a proposed plan to make part of .•the library available for [adults.
