Public Notices GROUP MEDICARE COOPERATIVE SOCIETY, LIMITED NOTICE is hereby given that the sixth Annual General Meeting of Group Medicare Co-operative Society, Limited, will be held in The Library of James Cook Hotel, The Terrace, Wellington, on FRIDAY, the 17th of June, 1977, at 2 p.m. The business to be transacted at the meeting shall be: Presentation of annual report.. Presentation of annual accounts to the 31st of December, 1976. Election of directors. Election of auditor. General business. Any member of the society entitled to attend and vote at this meeting is entitled to appoint a proxy to attend ' and vote instead of him. :Such an appointment of i proxy shall be in writing and I signed by the member or his ' attorney duly authorised by proper appointment. Any such instrument of appointment of a proxy and the power of attorney or other authority if any. under which it is signed shall be deposited at the office of the secretary of the society at 54 Wharf Street, Tauranga, not less than 48 hours before the time fixed for the holding of the meting. B6ll AMURI COUNTY COUNCIL HANMER THERMAL POOLS LOAN 1977, $BO,OOO NOTICE OF PROPOSED SPECIAL ORDER NOTICE is hereby given that at a Special Meeting of the Amuri County Council held on May 6, 1977, the- following resolution was passed and will be submitted for confirmation at the Ordinary Meeting of the said Council to be held on Friday. June 3. 1977. at 1.30 p.m. at the Council Chambers. Culverden. RESOLUTION

That in pursuance and in accordance of the powers conferred on it in that behalf by the Counties Act. 1956, and the Local Authorities Loans Act, 1956, and Amendments thereto and of ail other powers there unto enabling it the Amuri County Council doth hereby resolve by way Of Special Order to borrow the sum of eighty thousand dollars <$80,000) by a loan to be known as the Hanmer Thermal Pools Loan 1977 for the purpose of constructing a Termal Pools Complex at Hanmer Springs, subject to the following determination:-— I—The maximum term for which the said loan Or any part thereof may be borrowed shall be 30 years, provided that: (a) Where the method of repayment is in accordance with clause 3 (a) hereof, the minimum term shall be not less than 6 years; (b) Where the method of repayment is in accordance with clause 3 <b) hereof, any amounts borrowed for less than 6 years shall not exceed 40 per cent of the issue, and shall be borrowed for 3 years and/or 5 years. 2. —The rate of interest that may be paid in respect of the said loan or any part thereof shall be such as shall not produce to the lender a rate exceeding the appropriate rate for lhe time being specified by the Local Authorities Loans Board and notified in the New Zealand Gazette. as if money borrowed pursuant to this sanction were monv to which such Gazette notice applies. 3. The said loan or anv part thereof, together with interest thereon, shall be repaid by any of the following methods of repayment:— (a) By equal aggregate annual or half yearly instalments of principal and interest; <b) By establishing a sinking fund before raising the said loan or any issue relating thereto and by mak. ing annua! payments to such sinking fund at a rate of not less than 1.16 per cent per annum of the amount of the loan or of that issue, as the case may be (other than any part being repaid pursuant to sub-paragraph (a) of this clause), for the time being borrowed and not repaid. 4. —No interest, instalment of principal and interest or payment to a sinking fund shall be paid outside New Zealand or out of loan money. 5. —No agreement or arrangement shall be entered into with any person in respect of carrying out any part of the work for which this loan was sanctioned whereby that person is to subscribe to the loan or receive any debentures or stock in sat isfaction of all or part ot the price for the carrying out of such work.

6. —No agreement or arrangement shall be entered into with any person to invest loan monies or any part or parts thereof raised in accordance with the terms of this sanction whereby such investment would yield a rate of interest less than that which would be paid by the National Provident Fund on deposits with the Local Authorities Investment Pool from time to time. 7. —The following commission or fees mav be paid in respect of the raising of the said loan or any part thereof: (a) Brokerage not exceeding J per cent of the amount I raised; '(b) Underwriting commission or fees not exceeding 6 per cent of the amount underwritten; 1(c) Such further fees as the Board may from time to time determine. 8. —This sanction is subject to the General Determination published in the New Zealand Gazette. December 16. 1976. No. 128. page 2376. in that money to be borrowed under this sanction is deemed to be money to which that Determination applies It is hereby further publicly notified that a poll of ratepayers is required to be taken if 15 per cent of the | ratepayers of the Amuri County so demand by writing under their hands delivered or sent by post to the undersigned before the date fixed for the confirmation of the resolution NOTE— The repayment of the above loan is not intended to be a charge on County Rates but will be met from the Termal Pools revenue.
