N.Z. MARKET WEAKER
Share prices were weaker in moderately active trading on New Zealand stock exchanges yesterday. The N.Z.U.C. index eased 1.06 points, and falls outnumbered rises by more than two to one. Giant rose 3c on its marginal profit increase, but N.Z.I.G. lost 5c after its profit fell 8 per cent in the half-year. N.Z. Forest Products was also weaker, easing 3c, despite its profit increase announced a week ago. Confidence continued to be shown in Alliance Textiles and it gained 3c.
