Parliamentary reporter A hint that new pricing controls may be introduced in conjunction with the Government’s wage-fixing legislation was given yesterday by the Minister of Trade and Industry (Mr Adams-Schneider). “I realise that there has to be a reappraisal of price control procedures in the content of wagefixing measures, which are at present before the Government,” he said to the Wellington Chamber of Commerce. Mr Adams-Schneider said that he and his departmental officers were working with trade associations "to see if we can introduce new price policies aimed at providing more flexibility for sellers, and a fair deal for consumers.”
