Stoop, who for the past 17 years has been manager of South Canterbury Wine and Spirit Company, Ltd, in Timaru, has been appointed manager of the Canterbury Wine and Spirit Company, Ltd, group consisting of two outlets in Christchurch, and two in Timaru. One of these is the new company opening in Papanui Road within the next two months. Prominent in rugby and cricket, Mr Stoop represented the West Coast for five seasons. He is a past president of the Timaru South Rotary Club.
