Jarvis now reserve
The former Kiwi stand-off half, Bob Jarvis (Canterbury), has been added to the South Island rugby league team to meet Australia at the Show Grounds on Wednesday evening. Jarvis, a surprise omission from the original team, will be the reserve back.
John Low, the West Coast wing, withdrew from the side yesterday, and his place has been taken by the Canterbury three-quarters, Gary Tale, who had been the substitute back.
