I PA Wellington Wellington Airport’s ‘‘red star” rating*— awarded by the International Federation of Airline Pilots Association because it is considered seriously deficient for international landings — is expected to be removed next week. The poor rating, awarded ■last month, stemmed from a lack of radio aids at the airport — specifically a radio glide-slope aid, which both j Auckland and Christchurch [have. I However, a radio glideslope aid for the airport will |be tested by the Civil AviaI tion Division of the Ministry lof Transport tomorrow. ! If the tests are successful | Civil Aviation officials hope the aid will be in use by the lend of the week.
