Overstayers charged
PA Auckland Three Pacific Islanders appeared in the Magistrate’s Court in Auckland on Saturday on overstaying charges. Taamilo Tanea, aged 41, a Western Samoan who lived in Otara as an unemployed factory worker, admitted overstaying for 19 months after his three-month permit expired in August, 1975. Mr J. W. Bain, S.M., ordered that he be held and deported under section 20 of (the Immigration Act. : A Tongan woman, Selita Veikoso, aged 22, a kitchen hand, entered no plea to a (charge of overstaying since, (last January 2. She was remanded on $5OO bail, with a I similar surety, to May 5. !
