Ulf Thoresen top driver
NZPA West Berlin. Ulf Thoresen, of Norway, won the World Trotting Driver Championship with 165 points despite failing to win any of the final six races on Sunday in West Berlin.
It was the second world title for Thoresen, who, collected a sterling sliver trophy worth $2OOO and a cheque for the same amount.
Peter Wolfenden, of New Zealand, was runner-up with 133; noints from the 25 race series. Brian Gath, of Australia, finished I third, with 125. Tied for fourth were Jan Waaglenar. of the Netherlands, and Dieter Marz, of Austria, with 121 points each. Keith Addison (Australia) was sixth with 10S points.
