PA Whangarei: After receiving dozens of, calls of support from many, parts of the North Island, the j stray-dog protester. Mr Snow knox, has completed plans for leading .a canine cavalcade from Whangarei to Parliament next month. He intends leaving Whangarei on May 9 with two vehicles and wire-cage trailers holding about 20 stray dogs picked up in Whangarei streets. Touring through most'
North Island cities, picking up other condemned dogs on the way, Mr Knox hopes to arrive at Parliament on Friday. May 13. “Black Friday might be quite fitting,” he said. Since announcing the protest plan last Saturday, Mr Knox, a dog breeder and show judge who acts as a contract ranger and hydatids officer for the Whangarei City Council, has received telephone calls from Whangarei, Auckland, Hamilton, Wanganui, and Palmerston North.
