W.M.C. bowls to Richmond
Jack Dale's Richmond team of Stan Snedden, Reg 'Hill and Reg Muirson won I the South Island working men’s clubs’ annual bowls tournament in Christchurch at the week-end. In a close final Dale beat Curly Lyons, who was also representing Richmond, 8-7. In the semi-finals. Dale beat Townsend (Hornby) and Lyons eliminated Radford (Woolston). The tournament attracted a record entry of 192 teams.
