Family affair at Ashburton?
Butch and his four-year-old brother, Great Blaze, might make a real family affair of the Ashburton T.A.B. double tomorrow.
Both will be racing tn the colours of their Rlecarton ■ breeder, Tom Lalor, but from the Ashburton stable of Jim Lalor. Butch is top-weight with 545 in tlie first leg the Ash burton County Handicap and Great Blaze has the corresponding position with 56kg In the Sportsmen Filter Handicap. Butch’s task will be eased If. as expected, the Hororata Cup winner, Manuka Street, is taken out of the field to be reserved for next week’s Nelson Cup.
There will be a T.A.B. treble on the Trial Stakes No. 2, the Barford Handicap, and the Alford Handicap. Selections: —

3.35 p.m.—Ashburton County. Handicap: Butch, Deep Mystery, Sir James. 4.10 p.m.—Barford Handicap: Dad's Pride, Ruiflqus, Native Rein.
4.45 p.m.—Sportsmen's Filter Sprint: Great Blaze, Ernest, Hi Roona.
