Andamooka fancied in Taranaki Cup today

New Plymouth. Tire promising M’averiey three-year-old, Andamooka, is selected to beat a strong field in the D.B. Taranaki Cup at the Taranaki Jockey Club’s meeting at New Plymouth today.
Andamooka has shown considerable promise as a stayer and with his ability to race near the leaders, his rider should be able to make good use of his light weight. Seven Forty Seven, which seldom runs a bad race, won on both days of this meeting last | year and it will come as no surj prise if he completes the first : stage of a similar achievement I and wins his third Taranaki Cup. It has been fine in New Plymouth for about a fortnight but there was a prospect of rain last night and if it is wet Igneous will come Into favour as several of his best efforts have been on rain affected circuit.
