Lower profit by S.C. Hotel
Southern Cross Hotel (Dunedin) Ltd, increased gross revenue 12.3 per cent to .$491,000 in the six months to October 31, but expenses increased 16 per cent and the net profit for the six months was below that of the previous corresponding period. Higher revenues are re-' ceived in the six months from November to April each year, and a greater proportion of the net profit is earned during the second half of the financial year. The directors believe that the profit for the year to April 30, will be slightly below the record profit of last year.
