Reports helped mixed Australian markets
Situation stocks featured prominently in mixed trading on Australian markets yesterday.
Borg-Warner soared 25c to 185 c, while Woolworths jumped 10c to 121 c on their (latest results. CRA rose 12c to 312 c and Renison put on 10c at 880 c, as the firmer overseas metal markets helped base metals. Hamersley. Peko-Wallsend, Kathleen, and WoodsideBurmah showed marginal gains. Pan continental shed 10c at 846 c.
Ampol Ex. Qld Mines, and Bougainville lost two or three .cents each. I BHP fell 8c to 656 c, and the Wales lost 5c at 455 c. CSR retreated 7c to 325 c. ICI, Myers.
