Display of aerobatics
People living near Christchurch Airport will be able to see New Zealand’s aerobatic champion, Pam Collings, putting on a 15-min display above the airfield this evening.
The display, which starts at 7.15 p.m.. is mainly for members of the Canterbury branch of the New Zealand Aeronautical Society, whose meeting she will addreis afterwards. Miss Collings was New Zealand’s first entrant in the world aerobatic “Olympics” at Kiev, in the Soviet Union, last year. Flying in her Pitts Special, she came twelftr in the women’s section.
