i PA Auckland ; Probation officers throughout New Zealand will begin I working to rule today, and i this could have a crippling I effect on courts. It is the second time in I little more than a week that 'the officers have threatened; Ito take the action, in protest | against a workload the Pub-; ■lie Sendee Association calls! ! “intolerable.” Officers decided to cut jtheir case-loads early last: i week, but the action wasj postponed for wage negotiations with the State Services; Commission. The Public Service Asso-i ciation representative of the! probation officers in Christ-1 church (Mr W. A. ParkhilDj would not comment on the' work-to-rule action last j night.
