Big vessel due in port today

One of the biggest vessels to visit Lyttelton, the 640 ft chip carrier Ehime Maru, is due in port today. She is expected to berth at 4 p.m, at the bulk-loading facility on Cashin Quay. Round-the-clock loading should start soon after. The Ehime Marti will take on about 15.000 tonnes of chips at I Lyttelton, and will then proceed to Tauranga, where she will topi up with a further 10.000 tonnes.
