Jacks Tram fancied for Reefton main race
I Jacks Tram. an impressive l 'last-start winner at Rangiora on; December 18. looks well placed to extend a reasonably useful ; record v lien he contests the Reefton Racecourse Handicap , today. Jacks Tram has run on strongly at the end of some of ! his races and he could master jthe 3200 m in this race more competently than many of his rivals. Master Ben and Battle Lord.: two other newcomers to the; West Coast holiday circuit, could' be the hardest io beat, while a i there will be support for Sentry, Bess Hanover and Hunter Direct. j2 Motu Princess has shown much! dash in her races and the Presi- ! dent’s Handicap looks made to | order for her in spile of her I bad draw Should she be able to dictate the pace, her rivals, will find her hard to catch. Dash Ip, considered unlucky; when beaten bv Tarina at West- 1 port yesterday. Armbro Jet. World Bank. Seafield Majesty' and Wvriadra will be other pros-] pects in a fairly open race. 1 Selections: — 11.15 a.m.—First Ikamatua | Handicap--First division: El- ■ j wyn Jane, Stuart's Pal, Lucky. , Second division: Canis Minor, 1 Keestere, True Pine. 12.5 p.m.—Sir Stanley Whitehead Memorial: Scottish Fire, < Fabian Polight.
