The Movie affair
Sir, —As it seems unlikely ♦hat Labour will lose the "safe’' seat of Mangere why spend thousands of dollars just to prove a point. Many of our present M.P.s are poor enough value as it is without this waste over a childish slanging match. The monev could be put to fir better use in services which have been cut back too far because of the economic situation.—Yours, etc.,
J. C. KING December 28, 1976.
Sir, —M. Travers has a short memory. It was not Mr Moyle who started this affair; it was Mr Muldoon when he referred to the "effeminate titters” of the member for Mangere. This was an obvious and typical Muldoon ploy to goad Mr Movie into a retaliatory remark and open the way for the Prime Minister to make his allegations. —Yours, etc., R. CO 1 TRILL.
