Water polo wins to N.S.W. boys
Fresh—or rather, tired—from three narrow losses in Dunedin, the Liverpool zone (N.S.W.) schoolboys' water polo team had two close victories at Queen Eyizabeth II Park pool. In the first match, a verv closemarking game, the young Australians beat the Canterbury under 16 team, 3-2 The Liverpool goals, by Mark McClennan and Rav Mayers (two) were scored in the first, second and fourth quarters Canterbury’s goals were scored by Paul Rowe, tn the second quarter, and Robbie Tullett. in the third, and the y ounger Canterbury side had the satisfaction of scoring the only evenstrength goal. In the final match of the even* ing, Liverpool beat an equallytired Wharenui under 18 side. 4-3, the local team Including Rowe, John Koens and Damian Ferigo, each having their third games.
The scorers in that match were Mayers (two), McClennan and Steve Arkle, for Liverpool; and Eddy- Smulders. Steien Wakefield and Chris Lewis scored for Wharenui.
