It was confirmed yesterday that Grand Canyon, which has won races in Italy, France, England and America in the last few months, xvili next tackle the rich Irish Sweeps Hurdle at Leopardstown on December 28. He xvili again be ridden by Ron Barry, who partnered rhe six-year-old gelding when lie won the world's richest steeplechase, the Colonial Cup at Capulen, South Carolina, last month.
