Consortium proposed
N.Z. Forest Products, Ltd, is negotiating with Transport (Nelson) Holdings, Ltd, Odlins, Ltd, and Owens Group, Ltd, to form a new company to acquire its subsidiary, Nelson Pine Forest, Ltd. It is planned that each company will then have a 25 per cent interest. The matter has been referred to the Commerce Commission for approval. Nelson Pine Forest is based at Nelson, and engaged in the export of wood-chips to the Tokai Pulp Company, Ltd, Japan.
