| Films to be screened i this week-end include:— "Carolina Cannonball” (TVI, Saturday afternoon). — Made in 1955 “Carolina Cannonbail” tells the story of a hillbilly girl who runs afoul of • foreign agents who are after control of an atomic-powered missile. It stars Judy Canova and Andy Clyde. “Our Vines Have Tender Grapes” (TV2, Saturday afternoon). — The late Edward G. Robinson, Margaret O’Brien and Agnes Moorehead star in this moving 1945 tale about a small Wisconsin community. When fire destroys a farmer's barn the selfless generosity of a Jjttle girl (Margaret O’Brien) sparks a new spirit in what has been an uninviting town. “The Snoop Sisters — Black Day for Bluebeard” (TVI. Saturday afternoon). — This eccentric who-done-it team find their insatiable curiosity all too often involves them in real life murders. This time a film festival is the scene of a horrific “Bluebeard” type murder. Mildred Natwick and Helen Hayes star as “The Snoop Sisters" and Lou Antonio takes the role of chauf-feur-bodyguard-confidant to these two chronic old dears. “Assignment Munich” (TVI, Saturday night). — Harry Lang is a big time crook who is accidentally killed. When his contemporaries hear of it they immediately set about trying to gain the gangster’s
fortune. They believe his daughter knows where some $5iM is stashed. The stars are Richard Basehart, Robert Reed, Lesley Warren and Roy Scheider. “Carry on Screaming” (TV2, Saturday night). — The “Carry On” team are back again with “Carry On Screaming.” The lineup includes two new faces, Angela Douglas (“Oil Strike North”) and Harry H. Corbett (“Steptoe and Son”)., “What’s A Nice Girl Like You . . .” (TV2, Saturday night). — A thriller with a comedy touch. “What’s A Nice Girl Like You” stars Brenda Vaccaro, Jack Warden, Vincent Price and Roddy McDowall. It is about a young girl from the Bronx who finds hef stunning resemblance to a rich heiress getting her into all sorts of trouble. “Good Morning Miss Dove” (TVI, Sunday afternoon). — This is a heartwarming story about a stern schoolmistress and her influence oh the lives of a whole generation of townspeople. “Tension At 'fable Rock” (TV2, Sunday afternoon). — Richard Egan tries to mjke amends when he is branded a coward for killing his partner in self-defence . This 1956 western also stars Dorothy Malone, Cameron Mitchell, of “High Chaparral” fame, and a young Angie Dickinson.
