La Lumiere have hundreds of different wallcoverings, furnishing fabrics, carpets, floor coverings and unusual knickknacks. Staff can call at your home and co-ordinate a complete room from the floor up. You may also have furniture custommade. The manager (Mr Stuart Hutchison) explained that this “one-stop” approach to lighting, furniture and furnishings could mean a considerable time-saving for today’s busy customers. “Not only can we show the customers the items they want in a realistic room setting, hut we will also go into their home and offer suggestions that are suited both to the home and its owners. The service is free and puts the customer under no obligation. We extend this service even outside normal store hours,” he said. According to Mr Hutchison this will mean a more individual approach to home decor than anything
