Last cricket match to Pakistan
NZPA-Reuter Karachi Pakistan beat the International XI by eight wickets in the seventh and last match of their series of oneday cricket games at Karachi and scored a 4-3 over-all win. Zaheer Abbas, 66 not out, and Asif Iqbal, 37 not out, led Pakistan to victory with an unfinished third wicket stand of 80, taking the total to 162 for two in 35 overs in reply to the International team’s score of seven for 159 in its allotted 40 overs. The International XI never recovered from a slow start to its innings, in which the first 20 overs yielded only 59 runs. The opener, Shafiq Ahmad, was the top scorer with 45.
