Soviet shearers
Attempts are being made to have Russians compete in next year’s “Golden Shears” in Masterton. The head of information at the Russian Embassy (Mr Oleg Benyukh) has visited the Wairarapa and has suggested that two men and one woman shearer be invited to the championships.
