Industrials mixed; miners firmer
Mining stocks moved ahead, but industrials were patchy at best on Australian markets yesterday.
Bougainville climber 3c to 120 c, B.H. South put on 10c at 135 c, North Broken Hill rose 2c to 100 c and Hamersley 12c to 280 c, Uranium stocks were almost unmoved, and Pancontinental gained 10c to 800 c and Ocean one cent to 26c. B.H.P. firmed 20c to 690 c and C.S.R, 5c to 355 c. Investors were undecided about the prospects for retailers. Woolworths gained 4c to 106 c, but Mver slipped 5c to 175 c, and Waltons 1c to 65c.
The Wales put on 4c to 504 c, but A.N.Z. slipped 5c to 340 c. T.N.T. and Pioneer Concrete each rose one cent.
