Woman sent for trial
PA Auckland A Papakura woman, aged 50, has been committeed to the Supreme Court at Auckland for trial on a charge of manslaughter, after the hearing of depositions at the Magistrate’s Court at Papakura. The woman pleaded not guilty to the charge, which resulted from the death of her five-year-old grandson on September 13. Mr J. W. Bain continued the interim suppression of both the defendant’s name and the name of the dead child, and allowed the bail of $5OO, as the defendant had undertaken to return to Carrington Hospital, where she has been since her arrest
