Best Bets amends impressively
Best Bet made amends for two unlucky runs earlier at the meet ing when he Jed from end to end in the Greyhound Handicap. Well rated by Kevin Holmes, he had I the field w'ell covered for the 'last 400 m and he won most impressively from Mighty Lee, i which was handy on the Inner all the way. Waipounamu came on well for third after being five back on the inside for much of the race. lAn even faster finisher was Hie favourite, Nigel Craig, which was only a neck back. He was pushed Iback to last starting the last !600m and changed course in the straight.
