“Trials of Popovic”
Teelvision One will screen another “World In Action” expose this week. Political trials are being held in Yugoslavia at the rate of three a day. Of the 200 trials pending and 800 political prisoners, perhaps the strangest case is that of Srdja Popovic, a lawyer specialising in defending criticc of President Tito’s communist regime. “World In Action,” following its tradition of investigation of political persecution and repression around the world, entered Yugoslavia unofficially and gleaned information about Popovic and his supporters. “The Trials of Popovic,” will be screened on Fridav hi”ht.
