Applicants should be between the ages of 25 and 46 and have had experience in physical education training or in the promotion of recreation or organisation and administration of recreation: in addition they should be physically fit and be an active participant in sport. The Schedule of Duties include advising Council on the planning and provision of facilities for recreation and sport, arranging the maximum use of these facilities, maintaining liaison with Interested group* and organisations in the administration and promotion of their sports, assisting voluntary organisations and personnel with training courses and other assistance in the operation of their sport, and conducting overall surveys on future sporting and recreation needs for Blenheim and environs.
