Factory fire; two arrested
PA New Plymouth Two men have been arrested and charged with burglary after a big fire which gutted a New Plymouth joinery factory, causing $400,000 damage, early on Saturday morning.
The. men, aged 20 and 25, will appear in the Magistrate’s Court at New Plymouth this morning. The police are not sure yet how the fire started, but said that it began soon after the building was broken into.
The building was also burgled on Wednesday night. Property worth between $3O and $4O was taken, including cheque books.
