‘Avengers’ again
London. The long-awaited return of the new “Avengers” series is on the verge of making a profit even before the first reel is shown to London viewers next week. The series, which brings back Patrick MacNee as Steed, has already cost the producers 54.25 M to make, but they have already pulled in about S4M in sales. And the producers expect to complete an American deal worth millions of dollars. MacNee, will be joined by Joanna Lumley as “Purdey” and Gareth Hunt who was in the awardwinning “Upstairs Downstairs” series as Mike Gambit. -
The original “Avenger” series, which was sold to 120 countries, was last seen eight years ago.
